About AyleenDr. Ayleen The: Where Medical Precision and Aesthetics Meet
I am Dr. Ayleen The, interventional radiologist and cosmetic physician. My mission is simple: to perform cosmetic treatments with the same precision, safety and care as medical procedures. Through my background in interventional radiology and expertise in ultrasound, I offer a unique approach to aesthetic medicine where safety and natural results come first.
Ayleen The is a physician specialising in cosmetic treatments with injectables, including botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers and skin boosters. Her approach centres on natural results, with attention to balance, safety and individual wishes.
She uses ultrasound in cosmetic treatments to work accurately and safely. This technique makes it possible to visualise the anatomy before and during treatment and to precisely locate and treat previously placed fillers. In addition, Ayleen is active as a trainer at Vivacy, where she trains cosmetic physicians in the use of ultrasound within aesthetic medicine.

My BackgroundFrom Medicine to Aesthetics
My medical training began in 2005 at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In 2011, I graduated cum laude with my medical degree. This academic recognition reflects my dedication to quality, precision and professional development.
Specialisation: Interventional Radiology
After my medical degree, I specialised in interventional radiology, a subspecialty within radiology in which minimally invasive treatments are performed under image guidance (ultrasound, CT and X-ray).
Interventional radiology focuses on very precise, image-guided procedures, with a strong emphasis on vascular (blood vessel) anatomy and patient safety.
My expertise includes:
- β’Vascular interventions
- β’Ultrasound-guided biopsies
- β’Drain placements
- β’Embolisations
- β’Central venous lines
- β’Complication management
Working daily with ultrasound and needle techniques has taught me how essential millimetre precision is. These skills form the foundation of my cosmetic-medical practice today.

The transition to aesthetic medicine
During my work as an interventional radiologist, my interest in aesthetic medicine grew. Both disciplines require in-depth anatomical knowledge, technical skill, accuracy and a patient-centred approach.
What particularly attracted me was the opportunity to contribute to people's self-confidence and well-being, by supporting and refining natural beauty.
In recent years, I have specialised in:
- Ultrasound-guided injectables (including high-risk zones)
- Botox with preservation of facial expression
- Hyaluronic acid fillers (exclusively reversible)
- Biostimulators (Sculptra, Profhilo, Philart)
- Complication management and filler dissolution
Ultrasound in cosmetic medicine
My background in ultrasound forms an essential distinguishing element within my practice.
Traditionally, injectables are placed based on anatomical assumptions. Because every face is unique, this carries inherent risks. Ultrasound makes it possible to perform treatments fully tailored to the individual anatomy of the patient.
With the help of ultrasound:
- I map blood vessels in advance
- I visualise the anatomy in real time
- I monitor product placement during treatment
- I increase safety and accuracy
Ultrasound is not an addition, but an integral part of my approach.

Frequently Asked QuestionsFAQ
"My goal is for treatments to contribute to a fresh, natural appearance in which you continue to recognise yourself. Success, for me, is achieved when others say: 'You look great,' without being able to pinpoint why."
